C4 Members Invited to Yale’s Engravers Circle Free Breakfast and Lecture at ANA

Yale University Art Gallery recently celebrated the long-awaited publication of The Naseby Cup: Coins and Medals of the English Civil War by Benjamin Hellings, the Jackson-Tomasko Associate Curator of Numismatics, and have remained entranced by this object and the coins of its composition. One such coin is a famed New England Shilling that adorns the object’s rim. Exploration into The Nasby Cup will continue at the American Numismatic Association’s World’s Fair of Money this August in Chicago. C4 members are invited to join Ben and Emily Pearce, the Ben Lee Damsky Assistant Curator of Numismatics for a hearty (free) breakfast lecture and discussion. The breakfast lecture and discussion will be held on August 8, 2024, in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Room 23, from 9:00-10:00 AM. Join us for a time of fellowship and learning as Ben offers an in-depth exploration of this fascinating object and its history.

If you are numismatist with a panache for Yale, New England, New Haven and their intimate connections to the history of coinage and currency this is for you!

Please RSVP to numismatics@yale.edu or by phone at 203-432-1801.
